How an issue is framed critically influences public response and outcomes. High profile examples include such conflicts as between Apple and the FBI over consumer data, and between Cisco and its Chinese rivals Huawei and ZTE over the U.S. network equipment market.
Issue frames do not arise by chance; they are the conscious products of key stakeholders. During this workshop, Professor Bach will provide nonmarket managers and public relations specialists with in-depth analyses of effective issue framing, shedding light on core principles for strategically shaping dialog on critical issues.The Workshop
Grounded in the core insights of David Bach and Daniel J. Blake’s “Frame or Get Framed: The Critical Role of Issue Framing in Nonmarket Management”, the program will cultivate practical understanding through simulation exercises on and discussions of pressing contemporary issues.
Participants will learn key strategic principles and framing skills based on internationally impactful case studies.
